As reported by the Public Relations of the National Informatics Corporation, Dr.Alireza Mahyar, on Tuesday evening at the closing ceremony of the 10th Electronic Banking and Payment Systems Conference and Dr. Nourbakhsh Festival, expressed gratitude to all those involved in organizing the event and added, “It has been about a year since the Supreme Leader’s directives on artificial intelligence, emphasizing that Iran should be among the top 10 countries in the AI sector.”
He noted, “Banking, payment networks, and banking networks have become an inseparable part of people's daily lives and businesses, and choosing intelligent banking may be the most important achievement of this year's conference.”
Dr. Mahyar added, “Knowledge-based companies, banks, and FinTech entities had a significant presence in the grand organization of the Electronic Banking Conference. With over 6,000 visitors recorded at this event, it indicates that we have started on a good path, promising a better future for the country's banking network.”
He continued, “The presence of such a number of products and participants in specialized sessions makes our task for the next year challenging, as attendees will expect to see which of these have been operationalized.”
The CEO of the National Informatics Corporation emphasized, “This year's conference discussed big data, smart technologies, the focus of banks on technology, and the necessity of FinTech presence. This morning, we witnessed the unveiling of the FinTech roadmap by the Deputy for Modern Technologies of the Central Bank.”
Mahyar continued, “In the banking industry, while good progress has been made in hardware and infrastructure, we have seen less innovation, especially innovations targeting banking customers and those using these infrastructures.”
He announced, “We are aiming to establish a technology hub in the field of artificial intelligence. Today, we signed a memorandum of understanding with the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology, and we are ready to assist the banking network in utilizing AI-based services. We hope to witness the launch of intelligent banking in Islamic Iran.”
