Call for the Third Phase of the Central Bank Sandbox Extended Until May 4th

According to the public relations department of the National Informatics Corporation, Seyyed Jafar Mortezavian referring to the decision of the Central Bank Sandbox Policy Council to initiate the third call for submissions in Esfand 1402, stated: "The National Informatics Corporation, as the executor of the Central Bank Sandbox, began the third call for receiving proposals to the Sandbox secretariat in early Esfand of the past year and it was scheduled to close the Sandbox window by the end of Farvardin."
He added: "However, due to the fact that the start of the third call coincided with the end-of-year rush and the beginning-of-year holidays, and considering the numerous requests received for an extension of this period, the CEO of the National Informatics Corporation, as the executive manager of the Sandbox, agreed to extend this call by 15 days."

The Director of Innovation and Strategic Studies at the National Informatics Corporation stated: "Applicants can submit their proposals until May 4th according to the format specified on the designated website for the Sandbox, and after that, the window will be closed to initiate the usual process of technical evaluation, inviting applicants to present their proposals, and finalizing the summary."

Regarding the priorities for receiving proposals in the third call of the Central Bank Sandbox, Mortezavian also said: "Considering that the new banking law assigns the regulation of digital currencies to the Central Bank, areas such as digital currencies, international payments, and regtech (financial surveillance technologies) are prioritized in the evaluation of the Sandbox."

He stated that in the second call of the Central Bank Sandbox, which focused on proposals related to international payments and landtech (facilitating financial technologies), held in the first six months of the past year, several proposals were submitted to the secretariat, which were later reviewed by the technical working group after going through the usual processes.

The Director of Innovation and Strategic Studies at the National Informatics Corporation continued: "Currently, the window for the second call is closed, and the proposals that have entered the Sandbox with the decision of the Policy Council are being monitored and observed."

He further referred to the National Informatics Corporation's policy for integrating and unifying its work portals, stating: "In the coming months, the work portals of the National Informatics Corporation will have a unified address to facilitate unity in the company's communication with the outside world. However, there will be no content changes, but the internet addresses will change."

The Director of Innovation and Strategic Studies at the National Informatics Corporation continued: "Regarding the third call of the Central Bank Sandbox, which will continue until may 4th, there will be no changes in the entry address, and this will be considered for the integration of future calls."
